In this 4 stars review at the Guardian Peter Bradshaw writes,

"The trials of Julian Assange go on: there is no end in sight to his incarceration on remand in London’s brutal Belmarsh prison pending the renewal of the US government’s extradition request, which almost certainly would put him in an American supermax jail for the rest of his life. This film, directed by Ben Lawrence and produced by Assange’s brother Gabriel Shipton, tells the heart-rending personal story of his family’s battle to free him."

The movie follows Julian's father in his quest to free his son. But along the way we also meet his wife, Oxford-educated lawyer Stella Moris Assange, and their children, Gabriel (now 5) and Max (now 3) conceived while he was in the embassy. Among others, we also hear from the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Nils Melzer; Ecuadorian consul, Fidel Narvaez; former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray; artist, Ai Weiwei; Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg; and at the end, Julian himself by phone.

Please get your tickets early for this moving movie and remarkable opportunity to meet Julian's father and brother, John and Gabriel, and discuss the impact of Julian's imprisonment on him and his family.  John and Gabriel will also discuss this case - which, despite a letter of support from the editors of five major newspapers around the world who worked on publications with Julian - continues to receive so little attention from the press and has the potential to redefine the meaning of press freedom here and abroad.
