Bring your whole family (even the dog) and join us for a fun Fall 5k race, then stay for a picnic!  This 5k USAT&F certified course travels along the beautiful Root River Parkway next to Whitnall Park, starting at picnic area#1.  A free children’s race will also take place for children 10 and under, as well as other children’s activities.  Afterwards, there will be a picnic.  Please bring a dish to pass.  Don’t forget to bring some extra cash for the raffle!
   Dogs are welcome on the race course, but please be courtious of others, keep your dog on a leash and pick up after him.
   Proceeds from the race will benefit the Peace Education Project, the educational wing of Peace Action Wisconsin.  Peace Action Wisconsin is a peace and justice organization which works for a world where human needs are met, the environment is preserved, and the threats of war and nuclear weapons have been abolished.  The Peace Education Project hosts educational events for the community and produces educational materials.
