Description

People’s Books Co-op is planning a Fall Reception in Milwaukee on Thursday November 18th 5-7pm at County Clare, 1234 N. Astor, and invites you to take part in a very special, intimate evening with John Nichols.

John Nichols is an American journalist, media activist, and a columnist for the Capital Times and The Nation. He wrote many books including The Genius of Impeachment and The Life and Death of American Journalism. He plans to speak on the future of progressive movements and causes after the November elections.

There will be refreshments and a short program with John Nichols and potentially some progressive legislators, who may win elections this Fall. Such legislators could include Chris Larson State Senate District 7, Ben Manski State Assembly District 77, or Dana Schultz State Assembly District 87.

The reception is a fundraiser for our co-op to recover from recent flood damage this summer.
